Motorcycle driver's licence, Class 6A
Path set out by the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec. Our classes total 6 h of theory, 16 h on a closed course and 10 h on the road, and are usually completed in six to eight weeks. The 11 months of independent practice that follow are a waiting period set by the SAAQ, not course time.
What to know before you start
You get the Class 6R learner's licence after passing the SAAQ theory test. It lets you ride to learn, but with strict conditions: no passengers and a curfew from midnight to 5 a.m.
Once you pass the closed-course test, you move to Class 6A and keep the same conditions for eleven months. That's a waiting period set by the SAAQ, not course time. Our thirty-two hours of training are completed in six to eight weeks.
