It's the most accessible way to get around on your own, legally.
What the moped licence allows
In Quebec, riding a moped requires a Class 6D licence. To get it, you must be 14, take the mandatory course and pass the SAAQ theory test. Our six-hour course covers exactly what that test requires.
Scooter or motorcycle?
A moped is a two- or three-wheeled vehicle of 50 cc or less, limited to 70 km/h. Beyond that, it's a motorcycle and you need a Class 6A licence, with a much longer course. If you're not sure which one you need, give us a call and we'll sort it out in two minutes.
What to bring to class
- Your health insurance card, to open your file.
- An approved helmet, if you already have one. If not, we'll help you choose.
- Long clothing and closed-toe shoes for the practical part.
- For students under 18, permission from a parent or guardian.
