Formation 2000 is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to it. This policy explains what information is collected on this site, why, how long it is kept and what your rights are. It is written in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

3. Consent
Your information is collected only when you voluntarily fill out a form and check the consent box. Signing up for our promotional communications is separate and optional: you can register for a course without choosing it, and unsubscribe at any time.
4. Cookies
Necessary cookies keep your session working, secure the forms and remember your privacy choice. No audience measurement or marketing cookie is placed before you agree. You can change your preferences at any time with the link in the footer.
5. Sharing with third parties
We never sell or rent your information. It may be processed by the providers strictly necessary to run the site: our web host and our email provider. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations. Some information is sent to the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec only when you officially become our student and opening a file requires it.
6. Hosting and storage location
The site's data is hosted in Canada. If a provider were to process it outside Quebec, a privacy impact assessment would be carried out before any disclosure, as required by law.
7. Retention period
- Registration request that does not lead to a course: 24 months, then destroyed.
- File of a registered student: according to SAAQ requirements and accounting obligations.
- Contact form message: 24 months.
- Proof of consent: 24 months.
- Anti-spam technical logs: 90 days.
8. Your rights
At any time, free of charge, you may:
- request access to the information we hold about you;
- ask that it be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent and ask that it be deleted, subject to our legal obligations;
- ask to receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you are not satisfied with our response.

9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Forms are protected against automated submissions, and access to the database is limited to the people who need it. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and the incident is recorded in our register.
10. Information about minors
Many of our students are under 18. When the date of birth shows that a student is a minor, the form asks for the contact information of a parent or guardian, so that they can be reached and give their permission at official registration. This contact information is used for that purpose only.
The consent of a parent or guardian is required to collect information about a student under 14. We collect no information beyond what is necessary for the course.
11. Changes
Any significant change to this policy will be posted on this page. If the change affects how your information is used, we will ask for your consent again.
